Every pilot worth of the name knows the hyperlane coordinates to Carrick, and will visit the place at least once in their lifetime.

Nothing a nice Kolto bath will not fix, and it beats being dead or a prisoner of the Empire.

While Annabelle is opening their way back to the shuttle, Corso, Qyzen and Asara are thinning the Imperial presence and Onemi is locking blades with the Sith.

It is an impressive sight, telekinesis and force lightning punctuating the trailing lights of lightsabers clashing.

It's definitely a sight which makes Annabelle wish she had a holocamera.

The barrier flickers and dies, causing Annabelle to grin in triumph. Annabelle weeds out some of the remaining Imperials that are trying to block off the path to the shuttle.

Soon, only the Sith remains. That situation won't last though. They need to get out of here, NOW. Which would be why Annabelle attempts to empty both blasters into the Sith's back.

Fair fight, what's that?

Fair fighting is overrated; anyway the Sith manages to dodge or block most of the blaster bolts.

Most.

Onemi's lightsaber comes around in a flash of light, and a headless body falls to the cold metal flood. "To the shuttle, NOW!"

Annabelle doesn't bother replying, she's too busy running!

Thankfully, the folks they left on the shuttle have done their job so the shuttle is safe and the doors are wide open by the time they reach their destination.

The instant they're all aboard Annabelle plans on getting the shuttle out of here as fast as it will go!

Noboby opposes that plan; the Esseles is already maneuvering to escape, and the moment the shuttle gets into their hangar, the engines make the whole structure shake a for a moment.

The crew puts everything on getting the wounded vessel away from the imperial ship, and the ship´does not disappoint, accelerating to light speed before the enemy can attack again.

Annabelle finally relaxes once the ship hits light speed.

"We did it...." she states. "We actually DID it!" She starts to chuckle, but winces as those glancing hits she took earlier announce themselves in painful ways.

"Gnnn. May need to soak in Kolto for a bit, some of those bastards could actually aim."

"I'm sure the First Officer will put the infirmary at our service." Asara seems rather stunned... maybe not believing they really pulled off. "In the name of the Republic, thank you."

Annabelle looks at Asara. "Well, not dying or being captured by the Imperials was in my best interest, so..." She shrugs.


Someone is still not happy about the crap that the Ambassador has pulled.

Myabe feeling that, she will shut up.

Later on, Haken is not specially happy to have the humanoid timebomb still on his ship, but offers no comment on that but a sour look at Asara; the rest of the trip us rather uneventful, and straight for Coruscant.

Once she's accessed the services of the Medbay (best treatment she's ever gotten, they must be really grateful), Annabelle goes looking for Onemi.

The Jedi is at the lounge, alone, gazing out one of the large viewscreens; not that there's much to see, the ship will remain in warp speed for a few hours more, heading straight for the capital.

Look, she even recovered her light hooded tunic.

"Hey," Annabelle greets her with a smile. "Mind if I intrude on your solitude?"

"I was not seeking solitude, actually." That polite, flat tone. "Just thinking of the report I must make to the authorities at Coruscant about what happened here."

Hm, she cleaned and retouched her make-up too, and seems to have availed herself to the showers and other comforts; at least, not one of those weird stoic types?

"Makes me glad I don't have higher ups to report to," Annabelle replies with a soft smile. Annabelle ponders why Onemi has slipped back to that polite, flat tone. Habit?

"Thank you for your help, by the way. Corso and I couldn't have pulled that off alone."

"Maybe, but I just did what I had to; that's one of the reasons Jedi exist." Doing the hard work? "Have you ever considered joining the Republic Army? They do need resourceful people."

"Ought to be everybody's job to do the right thing," Annabelle replies. "Not right dumping all the work on you and yours."

At the comment about the Republic Army she flushes. "Not sure military discipline and I would get on too well. First time some idiot gave me a stupid order and I gave him backtalk, well..."

That and if anyone poked around too much in her background she'd likely be off to prison. >.>

"Even then, I'll put in a good word for you; such spirit needs to be acknowledged, and I wish I could offer you a proper reward for your efforts." The Jedi nods.

In case Annabelle forgot, the tunic only gives some modesty...

Annabelle gives Onemi her most charming smile. "A proper reward, hm?" She teases. "You have any plans for tonight?"

Yes, she is propositioning the Jedi.

Onemi just raises a brow and tilts head, curious; yes, the caught that, and might just be waiting for the woman to elaborate?

At that look, Annabelle figures she might need to be a bit blunt. "I'd like to take you to bed and show you a good enough time that the neighbors complain about the noise, if you're interested."

"You are indeed bold and direct." She sounds fairly impressed. "Jedi are not supposed to form personal attachments."

Does she mean, 'no strings attached'?

Maybe.

"I can understand that," Annabelle allows. "Of course, we're not likely to see each other again once we got off this ship, the galaxy's a big place."

That's probably a yes for 'no strings attached'.

"And causing noise complaints could make problems of its own." Now, she even smiles a bit.

Right, discretion, no strings attached... simple rules.

"I'm betting the soundproofing in your room's pretty good," Annabelle replies with a chuckle. "Or I could just kiss you often enough that I swallow the sound that way."

"We will see." She nods, and starts away, beckoning Annabelle to follow.

They do have several hours of travel ahead... plenty of time to spend in some refreshing physical interaction.

Maybe pillow talk afterwards too?
